Gates Developments has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Siemens Egypt to explore the deployment of smart infrastructure and advanced electrical systems across the company’s current and future real estate projects.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Hassan Nasr, CEO of Gates Developments; Mostafa El Bagoury, CEO of Siemens Egypt; Hassan Kamel, Board Member of Gates Developments; and senior executives from both companies.
Under the MoU, the two companies will assess opportunities to collaborate on advanced electrical distribution networks, energy management systems, and digital infrastructure, with the aim of improving operational efficiency and energy performance across Gates Developments’ projects.
The agreement comes as Egypt’s real estate sector increasingly adopts smart technologies and energy-efficient infrastructure in new urban developments.
Hassan Nasr, CEO of Gates Developments, said the company is integrating technology and digital infrastructure into its development strategy to improve operational performance and support more sustainable projects. He added that the partnership with Siemens aligns with the company’s long-term plans to adopt advanced electrical systems and smart infrastructure solutions across its portfolio.
Nasr also noted that digital infrastructure can contribute to improving energy efficiency, reducing operating costs, and enhancing the long-term value of real estate assets.
For his part, Mostafa El Bagoury, CEO of Siemens Egypt, said the agreement combines Siemens’ expertise in smart infrastructure, energy management, and digital technologies with Gates Developments’ expansion plans in the Egyptian market. He added that the two companies will evaluate technologies that support more efficient building operations, resource management, and sustainability objectives.
The companies said the memorandum establishes a framework for future cooperation on smart infrastructure and digital transformation initiatives, with a focus on integrating advanced technologies into Gates Developments’ projects.
