Export Development Authority (EDA) organizes the first Egyptian Trade Week in Tanzania in the period from 10-14 September with participation of 14 Egyptian companies.

The organization of this event comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Trade and Industry to raise export capabilities of Egyptian companies through the creation of promising opportunities for Egyptian products to access African markets, especially under Egypt’s presidency of African Union this year.

The ministry said that Tanzanian market is one of the most important target markets for Egyptian exports, especially as Tanzania is an active member of the East African Community and SADC and is an important hub for markets of East and South Africa.

On the sidelines of the Trade Week, the Egyptian Commercial Service office in Tanzania has organized bilateral meetings between Egyptian companies and their Tanzanian counterparts.

During these meetings, both sides agreed to strengthen trade and investment cooperation during the coming period.

Moreover, the EDA in cooperation with the Commercial Office launched a promotional campaign in Tanzanian media to introduce Tanzanian companies to the Egyptian Trade Week.
