A “ministerial modification” saw the replacement of ten ministers, including the Minister of Interior Mohamed Ibrahim.

Ten new officials swore the Constitutional oath in front of Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi on Thursday, according to a presidential statement.
Ibrahim has been replaced by Major-General Magdi Abdel-Ghaffar, who is a well-known figure in the National Security Apparatus, according to state-media.
Other ministers who were replaced include the ministers of culture, tourism, communications and information technology, technical education and training, housing, agriculture and land reform, and the minister of education.
Activists have been calling for the removal of the former interior minister as security crackdowns on state opposition have been tightening since last year.
