3.388 million tonnes of fodder worth $1.671bn released from ports in last 6 months: Agriculture Minister

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Elsayed Elkosayer has announced the release of 199,000 tonnes of corn and soy fodder worth $96m from ports during the period from 17 to 23 March, in coordination with the Central Bank of Egypt.

He added, in a statement on Monday, that the newly released shipments included 139,000 tonnes of corn worth $50m and 60,000 tonnes of soybeans worth $45m, in addition to feed additives worth about $1.4m.

From 16 October 2022 to 23 March 2023, about 3.388 million tonnes of fodder worth $1.671bn were released from ports, including 2.426 million tonnes of corn and 962,000 tonnes of soybeans and feed additives.
