The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) is examining a final settlement for the “interconnection” dispute, which is the sole obstacle in issuing the licence.
Mobinil Managing Director Ive Gotieh stressed the need to settle all monetary disputes with Telecom Egypt before the latter will provide mobile services. Gotieh stresses that this action will help to maintain “fair competition in the domestic market.”
