Qontrac has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with United Egyptian Construction to carry out construction works for its BEMA Mall project in Egypt’s New Capital.

The agreement is part of the developer’s plans to advance construction at the commercial project through collaboration with a local contractor.

Daker Abdellah, Chairperson of Qontrac, said the partnership supports the company’s strategy to accelerate implementation across its projects by working with experienced construction firms. He described BEMA Mall as one of the company’s commercial developments in the New Administrative Capital, adding that United Egyptian Construction was selected based on its technical and execution capabilities.

Abdellah noted that Qontrac has more than 55 years of experience in urban development and real estate, during which it has delivered a range of projects across the Egyptian market.

For his part, Mohamed Shawish, Chairman of United Egyptian Construction, said the company will undertake the construction works for BEMA Mall in accordance with the agreed technical specifications and project schedule.

The signing ceremony was attended by Hany Abdallah, Vice Chairman of Qontrac Urban Development; Hussein Tamer, Vice Chairperson of the company; Shady Khafaga, Legal Adviser; and Ahmed Sarhan, Executive Director of United Egyptian Construction.

The two companies said the agreement marks the beginning of a broader partnership focused on the execution of the BEMA Mall project in the New Capital.
