Car manufacturer Audi aims to expand its customer base in the coming period, offering a wider range of models, with prices starting from EGP 500,000, said Joseph Daniel, division head at Egyptian Automotive and Trading Company (EATC), the country agent for Audi and Volkswagen.

The first option for customers is the A3 sedan, priced at EGP 495,000, in addition to the Q2 sports model at EGP 505,000.

Audi’s strategy is based on addressing a broader customer base, improving after-sales services, and including a network of new authorized dealers.

Daniel stressed that Egyptian consumers are not afraid to buy German cars as rumoured, adding that all after-sales services for the new Audi models are at very low prices. In addition, the company currently offers the possibility of getting extra warranty when buying the car, which increases the warranty period to five years.

Moreover, communication is made with customers during maintenance operations, and an additional amount of basic spare parts are provided in order to avoid stalling customers.

Daniel expects to achieve a higher sales rate in 2020 as a result of introducing three new models with the highest technical specifications in the world, namely Q3, Q8 and A6, which gives Audi a greater competitive opportunity among its segment in the Egyptian market.
