Egyptian national team and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah occupied the third place in the list of the most expensive players in the world for 2021.
Transfermarkt placed the Egyptian star in third place among the most expensive players in the world, with a market value of €100m, equal to Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur and England striker, and Romelu Lukaku, Belgium and Chelsea striker.
The list was topped by French Kylian Mbappe, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, with a market value of €160m, followed by Norwegian Erling Haaland, the striker of Borussia Dortmund, with a market value of €150m.
Both Argentine and Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi and Portugal and Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo missed the list of the 10 most expensive players in the world. Messi came in 63rd place in the world with a market value of €60m, while Ronaldo came in 185th place with a market value of €35m.
