Egypt, Somalia discuss bilateral relations , regional issues

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry received Prime Minister of Somalia Mohamed Robley as part of his current visit to Cairo.

Ahmed Hafez, the spokesperson for Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the meeting dealt with efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, which are witnessing positive developments during the recent period, taking into account the historical relations that unite them and the Arab affiliation of Somalia.

Shoukry affirmed Egypt’s keenness to support the Somali side and to provide it with various aspects of assistance.

Hafez added that the meeting also touched on developments on the regional arena, where they discussed issues of common concern to both sides.
