Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with his newly appointed Chadian counterpart, Ahmed Kogri, on Saturday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and regional security on the sidelines of the Alamein Africa Forum.
Following the diplomatic talks, the ministers witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian Drug Authority and the Chadian Ministry of Health. The agreement, signed in the presence of Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, focuses on expanding cooperation in the supply and regulation of medical and biological products.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ambassador Nader Zaki stated that Abdelatty congratulated Kogri on his recent appointment as Chad’s top diplomat. The ministers emphasized the importance of executing the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby to implement the joint projects and agreements finalized during the fourth session of the Egyptian-Chadian Joint Committee.
The two diplomats also exchanged views on advancing peace, security, and development across the African continent, agreeing to deepen coordination at both the bilateral and multilateral levels to support regional stability.
