Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reviewed the progress of internationally backed development projects on Monday, stressing the need for continuous monitoring to ensure they meet their economic and social targets on schedule.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed the executive status and procedures for development financing across various projects in partnership with international institutions and agencies, the Egyptian cabinet stated.
Madbouly affirmed that the government prioritises international cooperation given its vital role in supporting comprehensive and sustainable development in Egypt. He emphasised the necessity of continuously tracking the implementation phases of projects funded by development partners to maximise the benefits of the financing.
Abdelatty reviewed the current executive status of ongoing projects funded through international cooperation packages and development grants, explaining the joint coordination mechanisms with ministries and beneficiary entities aimed at removing any obstacles hindering implementation.
The foreign minister noted that these grants and development funds are directed towards supporting projects in various fields, contributing to accelerating the execution of national plans and enhancing the efficiency of several vital state sectors. He praised Egypt’s extended partnership with international financing institutions, stating it has supported national development priorities and economic reform efforts over the past years.
Abdelatty affirmed that the ministry continues to work on deepening international partnerships, enhancing the role of the private sector, and developing international cooperation mechanisms to support the implementation of the national reform programme and achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030.
