WestWay Developments has announced the launch of its latest commercial project, IKon Mall, located in 6th of October City, west Cairo. The development is part of the company’s broader expansion plan, which includes injecting EGP 15bn into Egypt’s real estate market.
Hany Farag, Managing Director of WestWay Developments, stated that IKon Mall spans over 15,000 square meters and includes a ground floor and three upper levels. The project features a mix of commercial spaces, serviced apartments, and a hotel. He emphasized that the location, near the Giza Pyramids, was strategically chosen to attract both local and international footfall.
Farag also highlighted the company’s ongoing development of River Residence, a residential project in Hadayek October, situated close to the Green River and the high-speed rail station. The development comprises 21 residential buildings, landscaped green areas, a clubhouse, and dedicated children’s zones.
In addition, WestWay is working on other significant projects, including Town Plaza in New October, River Park 1 and 2 in the Green Belt area, and Z4, a mixed-use development in Sheikh Zayed City covering 15 feddans.
Farag noted that the company’s EGP 15bn investment plan reflects confidence in Egypt’s real estate sector, particularly in the western expansion zones around Cairo, which continue to attract strong demand for both residential and commercial offerings.
WestWay Developments was formed through the merger of several experienced real estate entities, bringing together over two decades of industry expertise. Its structure includes Diar Hany Farag, which owns projects in 6th of October and Sheikh Zayed; DIG Developments, with a portfolio spanning east and west Cairo; and Memar Al-Farouk, which has long operated in west Cairo.
