US President Donald Trump has invited Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, and Argentine President Javier Milei to join the founding executive board of a newly formed “Board of Peace” for the Gaza Strip, officials from the three nations said on Saturday.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty confirmed that Cairo has received the invitation and is currently studying the matter. Speaking at a press conference in Cairo, Abdelatty said that without Trump’s direct involvement in implementing the requirements of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, it would be difficult for the involved parties to fulfil their obligations.

The Turkish presidency announced that Trump sent a letter to Erdogan inviting him to join as a founding member of the council, which will be responsible for ensuring security and overseeing reconstruction in the Palestinian territory.

Argentine President Javier Milei confirmed his invitation via the social media platform X, stating he was honoured to join the body as a founding member. “Argentina will work to consolidate peace and freedom. We are honoured to share in this great responsibility,” Milei wrote.

The White House announced the formation of the founding executive board late on Friday. The Board of Peace is intended to operationalise a 20-point roadmap for peace, stability, and prosperity, which aligns with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025).

According to the White House, the council will be chaired by Trump and includes US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, presidential envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and former British Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair. Other appointed members of the executive board include Marc Rowan, Ajay Banga, and Robert Gabriel.

The plan involves the formation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), led by Dr Ali Sha’ath. The White House described Sha’ath as a technocratic leader who will oversee the restoration of public services and the rebuilding of civil institutions.

“The Board of Peace will play an essential role in fulfilling all 20 points of the President’s plan, providing strategic oversight, mobilising international resources, and ensuring accountability,” the White House statement said.

To support the board’s vision, Aryeh Lightstone and Josh Gruenbaum have been appointed as senior advisors to lead day-to-day operations. Nickolay Mladenov will serve as the High Representative for Gaza, acting as the primary link between the Board of Peace and the NCAG.

On the security front, Major General Jasper Jeffers has been named Commander of the International Stabilisation Force (ISF). Jeffers is tasked with leading security operations, supporting demilitarisation, and enabling the delivery of humanitarian aid.

A separate Gaza Executive Board is also being established to support effective governance. Its members include Chief of Egyptian General Intelligence Service (GIS) General Hassan Rashad, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Ali Al-Thawadi,, Sir Tony Blair, Marc Rowan, UAE Minister Reem Al-Hashimy, Nickolay Mladenov, Yakir Gabay, and Sigrid Kaag.

The United States stated it remains committed to this transitional framework in partnership with Israel, Arab nations, and the international community. The White House added that additional members of the executive boards will be announced in the coming weeks.
