Tourism Minister inspects executive position of latest developments in GEM’s construction

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled EL Anany, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Hisham Al-Suwaifi, and Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Amir Ahmed inspected the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on Sunday to review its executive position.

The tour included a visit to the Obelisk Square area, the main entrance to the museum, the lobby, the great staircase, the halls of King Tutankhamun, the main exhibition halls, the Khufu Solar Ship Museum from inside and outside, and the visitor services area of ​​the museum.

During the tour, the officials listened to a detailed explanation through a presentation by Atef Moftah — General Supervisor of the GEM project and the surrounding area — during which he explained the latest developments in the museum’s work.

The minister then stressed the need to adhere to completing the GEM Project on time and to overcome any obstacles or problems as they arise.
