Rafah crossing remains open to allow humanitarian relief

Egyptian authorities continued, on Wednesday, to open the Rafah border crossing to allow passage of the stranded and humanitarian cases on both sides, in addition to aid and reconstruction materials into the Gaza Strip.

Administrative and technical teams were present to facilitate the crossing process.

The Rafah crossing has been open since 16 May to receive the wounded and humanitarian cases from both sides.

The crossing is only closed on Fridays and official holidays in accordance with an agreement between Egypt and the Palestinian Authority.
