CONNECT-PS develops Information Technology Center at General Petroleum Corporation

CONNECT Professional Services (CONNECT-PS), the Egyptian company specialized in information and communication systems services, has announced that it will implement the expansion and modernization project of the Information Technology Center at the General Petroleum Corporation. 

This project is implemented within the framework of achieving smooth transmission and protection of information to support decision-making.

The project also comes within the framework of the petroleum sector’s achievement of tangible success stories in all fields of the petroleum industry to be emulated by the rest of the state’s sectors in modernization and development.

Commenting on this project, Ahmed Helmy, Head of Business Development Sector at CONNECT-PS in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa, said that the company is proud to cooperate with the General Petroleum Corporation to implement such a strategic project, which includes providing the latest infrastructure systems solutions for information technology information centres. This aims to optimize the use of resources and the components of information centres. Moreover, the company pays special attention to the petroleum sector, which is one of the promising sectors in the Egyptian market, especially with an understanding and study of the dynamics of its development and commitment to implementing projects with accuracy and quality targets of international standards.

For his part, Mohamed Shams El-Din, Director of the Commercial Sector at CONNECT, said that cooperation with international companies came within the framework of studying and selecting the latest components of information centres, providing integration that ensures electricity is provided in case of power outages. This happens through management, control and monitoring systems that operate around the clock using leading Schneider solutions and methods of integrating energy technologies and cooling systems to achieve integrated efficiency. This starts from the design and construction stages, all the way to operation and maintenance through authorized agents, taking into account safety, reliability and electronic security factors of data centres and the infrastructure, in addition to enhancing the added value of the solutions provided.
