Newly-appointed governors sworn before Al-Sisi

New governors were sworn in on Thursday before President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi after preparing the final list by prime minister Mostafa Madbouly. The new reshuffle of governors included appointing new governors for 22 governorates while five governors remained in their posts.

The governors who kept their posts were General Abdul Hameed Abdul Aziz Al-Hagan, as a governor of Qena, General Mohamed Soliman Al-Zamlout, as governor of Al-Wadi Al-Jadid, General Ahmed Abdullah Mohamed, governor of the Red Sea governorate, General Adel Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Ghadban, governor of Port Said, and General Khaled FoudaSeddik Mohamed, governor of South Sinai.

The new governors include the former director of security of Cairo General Khaled Abdel Hafez who was appointed as the new governor of Cairo, General Ahmed Rashed Moustafa, appointed as the new governor of Giza, Alaa Abdulhaleem Mohamed Marzouk, the new governor of Qalyubia, and Hesham El-Said Mohamed El-Sayed a new governor of Gharbia.

Also, General Said Mohamed Mohamed Abbas was appointed as the new governor of Menoufia, General Hesham Abdelghany as the new governor of Beheira,  Abdelaziz Qonsoua, as the new governor of Alexandria, General Magdy Mohamed Ali Al-Gharably, as the new governor of Marsa Matrouh, Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ansary, as the new governor of Souhag, General Gamal Noureldin Mohamed Zaki, as the new governor of Assiut, General Qassem Mohamed Hussien Qassem, as the new governor of Minya, and Hany Abdelgaber Mohamed Ibrahim, the new governor of  BeniSuef.

The new governor of Al-Sharqiya is Mamdouh Moustafa Gourab, and Mohamed Abdelfadeel Shousha was appointed as the new governor of North Sinai. In Damietta, Manal Awad Mikhael was appointed as the first Christian female governor to lead the governorate, while former governor Ismail Abdul Hameed Taha moved to the post governor of Kafr El-Sheikh.

Moreover, Kamal Gad Sharoubim Saad, was appointed as the new governor of Dakahlia, Mostafa Mohamed Adham Khaled, is the new governor of Luxor, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mohamed, is the new governor of Aswan, General Abdul Megeed Ahmed Sakr, is the new governor of Suez, General Hamdi Hamid Osman, is the new governor of Ismailia, and General Essam Saad Ibrahim, is the new governor of Fayoum.
