Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdallah said that the youth represent the driving force of nations, adding that they are responsible for meeting the challenges of humanity.
He continued that youth all over the world represent the leaders of the future.
This came on the sidelines of AIESEC ‘s annual international congress, being held in Hurghada from 2 to 9 July.
The congress is held under the auspices of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The governor hailed AIESEC, pointing out that there are many benefits for holding such a conference in Egypt for the second time, following the one that took place in 2013.
He explained that this benefits in promoting tourism, as well as focusing on the role of Egypt in facing global problems.
Abdallah mentioned that, after the revolutions of 25 January 2011 and 30 June 2013, Egypt has become more stable and has been working on implementing many major projects.
“The conference plays a major role in reflecting the real situation in Egypt, as the youth from 120 countries who participate in the conference will post about their experience on social media, which means sending an indirect message aiming at promoting tourism in Egypt,” the governor added.
Moreover, Abdallah pointed to the global problems that threaten humanity, including terrorism, and stressing that terrorism has no religion or a homeland.
He assured that the conference delivers a message of solidarity against terrorism to the whole world.
Furthermore, he pointed out the challenges that threaten global climate and what happened to be among them are the global warming and the scarcity of water sources.
He also assured the need to join forces to preserve global climate and take protective measures to prevent further negative impacts on the world.
Thus, he called on youth to think about means of managing water responsibly.
By the end of his speech, the governor stressed the importance of youth and their strong impact on the future.
