Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) – Egypt, one of the leading companies in the world and the sole supplier of Ford Trucks in Egypt, opened the most advanced service centre in the Abu Rawash Industrial Zone, which includes an integrated maintenance centre for trucks and a warehouse for original spare parts. It is a real breakthrough for Ford’s global trucks in the Egyptian market.

ALJ is a leader in the automotive and trucking industry and offers integrated services to its business customers and retail customers in more than 11 countries across three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa) and has extensive experience in the automotive industry since 1945.

Based on this strong foundation, the company has grown significantly by engaging in new strategic partnerships and building companies, shrines and service centres for its valued customers, thus contributing to economic and social development.

This diversification led to the company’s expansion in its business, resulting in fruitful collaboration with the Ford International Truck Company, and the introduction of an integrated production line from Ford Motor vehicles to Ford heavy duty trucks.

“There are promising opportunities for Ford trucks in Egypt to spread and expand,” he said, stressing that Egypt is a fast growing country with a dynamic economy and advanced infrastructure. Egypt has recently launched several mega-projects, including investments worth € 14.4bn in rail and metro projects.

As well as Egypt’s strategic location where it is located on the main international logistics routes. In addition, almost 90% of goods are transported throughout Egypt via land transport using trucks. Therefore, the Ford Company is aware of the importance of the Egyptian market in the region and its aspirations to reach the leading position in this market

“Ford International continues to build its international network in three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa), and we are currently working in 40 countries and aim to operate in 50 countries by 2020. North Africa is a very important area and our priority is expansion and growth strategies Egypt will be an important milestone in our presence in the region as well as our existing business in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.

Tarek Abdul Latif, General Manager of Egypt Operations, explained that the team’s strategy in Egypt since acquiring the Ford brand since 2013 has enabled the team to redefine the market with the Ford brand and in a short time to build a strong infrastructure for sales and after sales networks, Ford became the only brand in 2017 that experienced a boom and growth despite the overall decline of the market by more than 40% and now it’s time to extend this to the Ford truck market.

He added that Abdul Latif Jameel’s team in Egypt will not accept to be marginal players in this market, but will open its way for the Ford trucks to become the place they deserve. In cooperation with Al-Mubasher, the finance arm of ALJ Egypt, we will provide the opportunity to finance trucks All facilities are simplified and faster than a range of different financing systems to suit different customer needs, and Ford customers can benefit from truck insurance services. He also announced that before the end of this year, we will launch Ford Leasing for all customers. ”

As Abdul Latif said: “The capacity to maintain the new centre 192 trucks/month can be doubled immediately if necessary, as the total area of the site 4400 m of the total 41000 m area of the site of the complex of Abdul Latif Jameel – Egypt for integrated services and areas of capacity To expand.
