The Ministry of Housing offered 5,000 land parcels with full facilities in a public bid Sunday, within the social housing lands allocated in 10 new cities.

The land parcels range between 209 and 276 metres, and booking begins in the period between 26 July and 27 August.

In press statement, Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly said that the draw comes within the ministry’s policy to offer land with a small margin of profit.

Madbouly added that one family does not have the right to apply for more than one piece of land in the announced cities, and a maximum of four persons have the right to own one piece of land.

Vice President for Real-Estate and Commercial Affairs of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) Tarek El-Sebaai said that the lands will be offered in 6th of October City (764 lands), Obour (42 lands), Badr (622 lands), 10th of Ramadan City (494 lands), and Sadat (200 lands).

El-Sebaai added that the cities also include New Salehia (80 lands), and the new cities in Upper Egypt, such as New Beni Suef (250 lands), New Assiut (500 lands), New Tiba (1048 lands), and New Qena (1,000 lands).

“The criteria and conditions for applying to book lands are that the applicant should be Egyptian and not be under the age of 21 years, and should not be legal figure or company,” El-Sebaai said. “The applicant must not have a piece of land pre-allocated by the ministry for himself or a member of his family.”

El-Sebaai noted that the tenders will be available in all branches of the Housing and Development Bank (HDB) starting from 26 July, while submission of the application takes place from 3 to 27 August.

Last October, NUCA offered 4220 parcels of  land with all utilities in 14  new cities, with sizes ranging from 162 to 1200 metres.
