Column 3The United Bank will open 12 new branches in 11 governorates in 18 months, according to the bank’s Chairman and Managing Director Mohamed Ashmawi.

The new openings will bring the total number of the bank’s branches to 62, covering all Egypt’s governorates.

The governorates where the bank will open are: Giza, Cairo, Suez, Ismailia, Menufiya, Sharqeya, Alexandria, Daqahleya, Aswan, Damietta, and Port Said, according to Ashmawi.

“These governorates were chosen as per prior and accurate studies to the nature of the governorates and their most important economic activities, whether agricultural, industrial, commercial, real estate, or tourist,” Ashmawi said. “After looking into the economic development plans of these governorates and the clients’ needs, they were chosen, so that we can offer banking services.”
