CAIRO: Raya Holding Company is taking measures to acquire 75 percent of the Call Center Company, C3, in line with its plans to expand contact center services to clients in Egypt and abroad.

Raya’s chairman Medhat Khalil told NOOZZ that his company will secure the cost of the takeover deal from the proceeds of its 51 percent sale of Raya Telecom to Vodafone Egypt for LE 104 million.

Earlier this year, Raya Holding acquired a 25 percent stake in C3, which provided contact centers services to a large base of clients, especially in Europe.

Khalil pointed out that Raya Holding is rearranging priorities for investment to keep high profitability operations after its first half 2006 results showed bright performance of the company’s handset sales activities, which accounted for 57 percent of net sales, followed by technology systems with 30 percent. Telecom activities accounted for 13 percent of net sales at Raya Holding.
