Egypt, Norway call for ceasefire, aid in Gaza

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Jahre Storr discussed the situation in Gaza and the need for a ceasefire in a phone call on Sunday.

According to Ahmed Fahmy, the spokesperson of the presidency, the president emphasized the importance of working towards a just and comprehensive solution for the Palestinian issue based on the two-state principle. He also expressed his concern for the civilians who are suffering from the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The two leaders agreed on the urgency of delivering and providing relief aid to the Gaza Strip and respecting international law.

Additionally, they talked about the bilateral relations between Egypt and Norway and the opportunities for enhancing economic cooperation and joint investments between the two countries.
