Civil Aviation Minister offers investment opportunities in Cairo Airportto local investors

Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy has met a delegation from Hassan Allam Utilities and AP Moller Capital to discuss opportunities for cooperation and investment in the fields of logistics and warehouses at the Cairo International Airport.

The meeting was attended by Hassan Allam, the CEO of Hassan Allam Holding Company; Amr Allam, the chairperson of Hassan Allam Utilities; and Lars Reno Jakobsen, the Senior Partner at AP Moller Capital.

This meeting comes in light of the Egyptian government’s directives to enhance constructive cooperation between state institutions and private sector, and to exploit national capabilities and resources to develop mega national development projects.

During the meeting, the Minister of Civil Aviation witnessed the signing ceremony of an agreement to launch an integrated logistics platform for warehousing services between Hassan Allam Utilities in partnership with AP Moller Capital.

The platform aims to provide a range of services, including utilities and distribution centers, logistics services, integrated storage complexes and dry internal warehouses.

The strategic partnership between Hassan Allam Group alliance and the Danish company AP Moller in the field of logistics and storage complexes aims to attract direct investments amounting to $200m in logistics, shipping and warehouse industry within Egypt. This contributes to increasing trade flows and benefiting from fast growing opportunities of markets in Egypt and Africa in partnership with international institutions.
