12th session of Sudan-Egypt Joint Land Ports Committee concludes in Khartoum

The 12th session of the Sudan-Egypt Joint Land Ports Committee concluded its two-day session in Khartoum.

During its work, the committee discussed ways to develop the work of ports between the two countries and address all the problems and difficulties that impede the movement of citizens and goods between the two brotherly countries,

It was agreed to hold the next thirteenth session in Cairo in the first half of next year.

On the sidelines of the meetings, Ambassador Hany Salah , the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Sudan and South Sudan, delivered a message from Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs to Ali al-Sadiq Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, on the overall bilateral relations and topics of common interest.

The message stressed Egypt’s keenness to support Sudan at this delicate stage that it is currently going through, in addition to informing the Sudanese Foreign Minister about the progress of the work of the joint Egyptian-Sudanese committee hosted by Khartoum, which resumes its meetings after a hiatus of almost four years.

The meeting included the ongoing preparations with the Sudanese side to hold the meetings of the fifth session of the consular committee, which is scheduled to be hosted by Khartoum during the coming period.
