Egypt on Saturday condemned in the strongest terms the despicable terrorist attack of the Houthi militia in the province of Samta in the Jazan region of Saudi Arabia.

The attack resulted in the death and injury of a number of Saudi brothers and residents of the kingdom.

Egypt reiterated its stand and solidarity with the kingdom in addressing these despicable terrorist attacks, which constitute a violation of the norms of international law and a blatant threat to security and stability in the region.

Egypt stressed its firm position of supporting the measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its security and the safety of its brotherly people, and the close link between the national security of the two countries.

The Arab coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen announced on Friday the fall of an enemy projectile in one of the border villages in Najran in an attempt to target civilians in Saudi Arabia, while another projectile fell on one of the industrial workshops in Samta in the Jazan region.

The Arab coalition said in a statement that the projectile launched by the Houthi militia and landed in Samta in the Jazan region, led to the death of a Saudi citizen and a Yemeni resident.

The Saudi-led coalition confirmed that 4 ballistic missile stores and marches were destroyed in Mahwit governorate.

The Arab coalition also announced the destruction of two mountain caves to store ballistic missiles and weapons in Saada.
