I-CON MEP contracts Minka Developments to implement electromechanical works in The Hoft, Kinda

I-CON MEP Engineers  is close to contracting with Mink Real Estate Investment to design and implement electromechanical works for its “The Hoft” administrative project and “Kinda” residential compound projects.

Engineer Ahmed Shawky, Chairperson of I-CON MEP Smart Solutions for Contracting and Electromechanical Works, said that the engineering designs for electromechanical works are being prepared.

Implementation work will start after the completion of the contracting procedures, he said, adding that the construction on “The Hoft” the administrative project, located in New Cairo, will exceed EGP 180mn.

Shawky said that “The Hoft” project is being built on an area of ​​3,400 sqm, and includes administrative activities of various sizes. 

The project’s investments amount to EGP 400m, including an estimated executive value of EGP 180m allocated to electromechanical works. The project includes 84 fully finished hotel housing units, 11 shops, and 80 units. 

He indicated that the designs for the electromechanical works are being developed for the Minka Development Egypt company’s Kinda project. 

The project is located within the Tag Sultan project in the East Cairo region, and will be built on an area of ​​28 acres. It includes 800 housing units divided between independent villas, twin houses, and apartments of various sizes, other than the administrative buildings.

Shawky added that the expected operational costs of the electromechanical works at the Kinda project amounts to EGP 1bn, with the works scheduled to be completed in 2022.

He also pointed out that his company has developed an expansion plan with the aim of increasing the portfolio of projects it designs and implements. This is in addition to diversifying these projects, especially since the company’s current portfolio of projects includes 17 diversified projects affiliated to governmental and the private sectors.

Shawky said that national projects have contributed to increasing the volume of projects offered in the market, especially the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

The latter massive national project is home to a diverse range of projects and a demand from investors. This is in addition to the volume of construction implemented by the state in new cities such as New Alamein, Galala and Sokhna, in addition to the East Cairo area.
