Khales launches ‘Yalla Start with Khales’ competition to support emerging projects

Khales, which specialises in digital retail payments services in Egypt, has launched the “Yalla Start With Khales” competition, to provide financial support for emerging projects in Egypt.

The company announced that it has opened an application period that will last until 8 November, during which projects can submit applications for the competition through its electronic portal. It added that applications are open to all small and micro companies, as well as startups. In the competition, the first three winners will receive a free digital payment platform, in addition to financial support worth up to EGP 100,000.

Those wishing to participate in the competition can go to the company’s official Facebook page and choose the contest link on the website, then fill out the application form and register the project with ease.

A committee of judges and experts will select the best nine projects during the period from 8 to 18 November. The shortlisted projects will present a comprehensive presentation during the first three days of the activities as part of the 24th Cairo International Information and Communication Technology Exhibition (Cairo ICT 2020), which will be held from 22 to 25 November, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

The last day of the Cairo ICT Exhibition will witness the jury announcing the first three winning projects, which will receive the prizes.

Ibrahim Sarhan, President of e-Finance, said that the competition aims to provide more support, care, and encouragement to young entrepreneurs and innovators.

He added that the near future will be drawn by emerging companies and young entrepreneurs who think differently to create new ideas that contribute to the development of the country. He noted that the initiative aims to help youth, and small and micro enterprises, and stand by them to achieve their dream and support their projects, which will contribute to the realisation of the state’s plans for digital transformation.

Nora Orkhan, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Khales, said that the competition is an opportunity for all the target segments to present a full and detailed presentation of their projects during the Cairo ICT Exhibition, which is the most important event in the technology sector and the gathering point for innovators and investors.
