Cityscape, Egypt’s property exhibition, announced that exhibition space event has sold out as Egyptian developers prepare for the November event.

Organisers Informa Markets noted that the exhibition is set to play a critical role in galvanising the post-lockdown market, as the country gets back to business following the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The property exhibition will take place from 4-7 November at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC), and will host 65 organisations over the four day event.

The immense interest is evidence of the positive attitude and ‘back to business’ approach being adopted by Egypt’s real estate developers and professionals. The exhibition will be the first physical event to take place in the Cityscape portfolio since the global pandemic.

Faariss Khalil, Exhibition Manager for Cityscape in Egypt, said, “The response from our local partners, exhibitors and government and industry stakeholders has been overwhelmingly positive.”

He added, “The appetite to get back to business and stay the course of recovery is a testament to the Egyptian real estate market.”

Mountain View, a leading private property company that develops top tier residences and resorts in Egypt’s prime locations, including East and West Cairo, the Red Sea Coast and the North Coast, will make its Cityscape debut this year.

Amr Soliman, Founder and Chairman of Mountain View, said, “Cityscape is an influential industry event that has proven its worth through a long track record of success, and the return of the show endorses its progress and will, once again, reinforce healthy competition in the Egyptian market.”

“At Mountain View, we are happy to participate for the first time and, with the non-traditional start to 2020, we are excited to explore new solutions and approaches,” he added, “The industry has proven its strength in the face of unexpected challenges this year and we anticipate growth in the near future.”

Other event first-timers at the exhibition include Inertia, which will showcase its residential and commercial developments such as West Hills, Soleya Brix and Joulz. These come in addition to the Jefaira mega-project and cutting-edge medical centres Medipoint Sheikh Zayed and MENA Plaza.

Regular Cityscape exhibitors include Safwa Urban Development (SUD), a leading developer of real estate projects with 20 years of experience in blending contemporary and traditional design features. At this year’s event, SUD will showcase a range of properties including tourist resorts, residential towers and shopping centres as well as medical, educational and sports facilities.

Ahmed Nabil Amer, Marketing Director for SUD, said, “For the fourth consecutive year, SUD will take part in Cityscape to showcase its various residential, commercial and business projects and medical developments in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), New Mansoura and El Obour City.”

He added, “SUD’s high-quality offerings that align with the pace of the real estate boom in Egypt which is being driven by governmental initiatives for world-class modern cities.”

Other Cityscape exhibitors include Al Futtaim, Orascom Development Holding and Taalat Moustapha Group (TMG), with national real estate developer and development manager, City Edge also joining this year. The government established company is backed by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and the Housing and Development Bank (HDB), bringing a variety of country-wide master-developed projects to Cityscape.

In addition, the Cityscape organisers have bolstered all asset classes with top developers signing up in the commercial, office, retail and hospitality sectors.
