Real estate developer Sixth of October Development & Investment Company (SODIC) has, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, equipped three public hospitals to receive more coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.

SODIC commissioned a further 50 fully equipped portable quarantine units for the Abbasiya Fever Hospital and Mansoura Chest Hospital. This comes in addition to the company equipping 21 hospital rooms at the Mahala Fever Hospital to serve as complete isolation units.

The company had previously announced its multi-tiered approach in contributing to the cause. This entailed redirecting all marketing resources to creating awareness of the virus, donating ventilators and monitors to the Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital, the Sheikh Zayed General Hospital and the Imbaba General Hospital. This will ensure they are better equipped to receive coronavirus patients.

SODIC also distributed over 1,500 protection packages in Ezebt Khairallah, providing the community with immunity boosters, sanitisation products and hygiene instructions.
