Financial Brokerage Group keeps top spot in March with 19.7% market share

The Financial Brokerage Group continues to occupy first place among Egypt’s brokerage companies in March, with a substantial trading value of EGP 7.2bn, accounting for 19.7% of the total market transactions last month.

The Commercial International Brokerage Company (CIBC), came second at EGP 3.3bn with 8.9% market share. Hermes Securities Brokerage came in third place with EGP 2.8bn trading value and 7.6% market share.

In fourth place was Pharos Securities, bringing in EGP 2.5bn of the total market turnover in March. They executed 6.9% of the total market transactions.

Beltone Securities Brokerage ranked fifth with a total turnover of EGP 1.7bn, representing a market share of 4.6%. Following behind was Arqaam Securities Brokerage, in sixth place, with a 4.3% market share through transactions worth EGP 1.6bn.

It was followed by Pioneers Securities with EGP 1.2bn worth of transactions, and a 3.4% share of the market.

Sigma Securities Brokerage came in 8th place with operations worth EGP 959m, representing 2.6% of the market.

Meanwhile, Prime Securities Brokerage ranked ninth, with a 2.3% market share with EGP 842m. HC Brokerage was the tenth largest company on the market, with operations worth EGP 821m equivalent to 2.2%.

The total market capitalisation reached EGP 532.9bn in March, representing a decrease of 20.11% over the last month. The total trading value was EGP 126.6bn, while the total volume traded was 5.509m securities executed over 520,000 transactions in March.
