Misr Lel Makkasa SC has signed a two-season contract with Ahmed Hossam “Mido” as head coach for a salary of EGP 400,000 per month.

President of Misr Lel Makkasa, Mohamed Abdel Salam, said that it did not take time to convince Mido to take charge of the club.

Abdel Salam said he hopes the new coach can achieve the club’s ambition to qualify to the FIFA Club World Cup.

For his part, Mido said the club has a management that is similar to that of European clubs’ and that he has an ambitious vision for the team. The new coach pointed out that Makkasa had many achievements thanks to its administrative and coaching stability and the high-quality squad. This is why he did not hesitate to take the offer.

Mido added that the club’s ambitions come in line with his previous experiences with Zamalek, Ismaily, and Wadi Degla. He aims to take the club to the semi-finals of the Egypt Cup.

He went on to explain that he will meet with the former coach to assess the players and discuss the needs of the team. Mido believes that Makkasa only needs to sign four new players.

Mido’s assisting staff includes Sayed Metwally as manager of players affairs, Waleed Hewaidi as football manager, Adel Mustafa as assistant coach, Khalid Abdullah as goalkeeper coach, and Mohamed Aweys as performance analyst.
