The 64th edition of Cairo Fashion and Tex, the international exhibition specialised in yarn, textile, and garment, will be held from 1 to 3 March, in parallel with the 13th edition of the Cairo International Leather and Shoes (Cairo Inter leather) at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC), under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Supply, as well as all the concerned industrial chambers.

The fairs will bring together manufacturers, exporters, and importers in one place with the participation of more than 15 countries from across the world. Additionally, the first exhibition for ready-made clothes franchises in Egypt will be held on the sidelines of the two fairs.

Mohamed Abdel Salam, chairperson of the Ready-made Garments Chamber at the Federation of Egyptian Industries, said that a group of leading brands in the industry of garments and leather will be brought together in Cairo for the first time with the aim to attract foreign investments in the local ready-made garments sector and entering new markets in Arab, Gulf and African countries. He added that about 200 Arab and foreign investors were invited to attend the fair.

“This fair is the largest of its kind in Egypt, as it was approved by the Global Association for the Exhibition Industry (UFI), which is mainly concerned with high quality products,” said Mohamed El Sherif, the head of the Fairs Committees at the Arab Union for International Exhibitions and Conferences.

The exhibition is located on an area of 40,000 sqm and attracts many major Egyptian and international companies. It represents a great opportunity for investors and specialists in this field as well as retailers to meet many factories in one place at the same time.

Participating countries in this edition of the fair include Italy, China, India, Turkey, Syria, Spain, Lebanon, Pakistan, Morocco, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Kenya, and others.
