Partnership between Uber, Mac to provide car facilities for Uber’s drivers

Egypt’s Uber Company has announced the signing of a partnership with Al-Mansour Motor Company (MAC) to provide car benefits and facilities for Uber’s drivers.

As part of the deal, drivers will be able to buy Chevrolet Optra Comfort 2017 at Egp195,000 instead of EGP 210,000, in addition to receiving a 20% discount on spare parts and 15% discount on Chevrolet vehicles already registered on Uber.

This partnership is part of Uber’s long term commitment to provide more economic opportunities for Egyptians through its technological solutions and by offering discounts on cars and spare parts. So, Current or future drivers will be better able to manage a sustainable income form through the Uber application.

Abdellatif Waked, Uber Egypt’s general manager said that providing Uber drivers with additional benefits allows them to continue using technology to further supplement their income, and increase their financial stability in today’s tough economic conditions.

He added that Uber know during its conversations with the drivers, that the discounts during or after the purchase encourages them to continue working with or joining Uber. These offers are especially important for potential drivers that also want to work on Uber but need the right car to join.

Mac’s vehicle sales service and marketing director, Loutfy Mansour, said that this partnership will enable current Uber drivers to spend their income on other necessities and make Uber more accessible for those looking to supplement their income. The partnership aligns with Mac’s responsibility as an Egyptian corporation to develop societies through various programs.

Since the partnership has taken effect nearly one month ago, more than 100 partners have been already witnessed by Mac, to take part in this partnership by redeeming this offer.

The Uber and MAC partnership offer is currently available until December 2017, and can be redeemed in four of MAC’s branches in Cairo and two in Alexandria.

Uber has been collaborating with several leading stakeholders from various industries to provide its drivers with the best vehicle solutions through its technology since it` lunching in Egypt like the partnership with Rawaj, providing drivers with vehicle financing solutions, Al Tibby, to provide drivers and their families with free medical consultation as well as Nacita Auto Care, equipping The North Coast with an on-demand rescue service this summer, and finally the go-to location for Uber drivers’ car maintenance and examination throughout the year.
