Al-Ahram Hebdo launches French investment conference in Egypt

Al-Ahram Hebdo is organising a conference entitled “French investment in Egypt: prospects and challenges” in cooperation with the French Embassy and French Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Cairo. The conference will be held on Tuesday 22 November in Naguib Mahfouz Hall in the new building of Al-Ahram Hebdo.

In attendance will be ministers of the economic community in Egypt, Minister of Investment Dalia Khorshid, French ambassador to Cairo André Parant, and heads of the Egyptian-French chamber Mahmoud El Kaissy and Hervé Majidier.

Head of the General Authority for Investment (GAFI) Mohamed Khodeir, head of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) Sherif Samy, Deputy Finance Minister for fiscal policies Ahmad Kojak, chairperson of the Egyptian Countryside Development Company and the 1.5m-acre project Atter Hannoura will also be attending.

The conference will host a group of businessmen and representatives of the most important institutions, companies, and French banks operating in Egypt to support and attract French investments to Egypt and discuss how to overcome the obstacles.

The conference will hold three panel discussions about French-Egyptian cooperation in the investment sector and different economic fields, investment opportunities in the financial sector and insurance, and new investment opportunities in Egypt and national megaprojects.
