Verna maintains Korean lead with EGP 1.81bn

The Korean personal car market achieved sales of about EGP 7.9bn during the first 11 months of 2015.

Korean manufacturers sold 53,700 cars, acquiring about 30% of the total personal car market in Egypt.

The Hyundai Verna topped the bestseller list, at EGP 1.8bn, with more than 19,900 cars. The Verna is considered the cheapest Korean car in Egypt.

The Hyundai IX35 achieved sales estimated at about EGP 1.53bn during the same period, occupying second place with the sale of 6,377 cars, while the Hyundai Elantra ranked third by selling 6,318 cars for EGP 1.04bn.
