Huawei’s GSRC Egypt was ranked as one of the top five Global support resource centers in the world amongst India, Malaysia, China, and Romania.

It had trained LTE engineers to meet the Egyptian market’s demand for the fourth licence launch in Egypt, according to a statement.

Founded in Egypt in 2008, GSRC Egypt is an expert engineering resource centre serving Huawei Global projects by providing training end-to-end services, which aim to sustain and increase the company’s competitive edge in the global market.

Commenting on the ranking, General Manager of Huawei Egypt Yang Tao said: “This ranking best reflects Huawei Egypt’s GSRC’s mission.”

“As a key technology, GSRC Egypt helps resolve network issues and provides services such as performance benchmarking, optimisation, and customer support resulting in improved overall value for customers. The centre is sending 10% of its staff to China for technical training, which adds value to the Egyptian market’s telecommunication technical skill,” he said.

In 2014, GSRC Egypt contributed to the Egyptian labour market by recruiting more than 60 engineers, 50% of whom were fresh graduates.
