Nissan Egypt offers locally manufactured Sentra for EGP 139,900

Nissan Egypt is offering the new Sentra for a price ranging between EGP 139,900 and EGP 149,900.

The company announced that reservation to purchase the car, which is being locally manufactured for the first time, began on 25 October. The new price is EGP 20,000 less than the imported version.

Nissan Egypt targets competing with its counterpart Toyota, Corolla in particular, as they are similar in terms of design, category, and internal features.

Managing Director of Nissan Motor Egypt, Sosomu Uchikoshi, said that “The car has good features in addition to the price, some of which are the air condition for the passengers’ rear area, Bluetooth, and the engine start button”.

He added that the manufacturing process of the new Sentra began in early October at Nissan’s factory in 6th of October City at the industry zone, outside Cairo.

The factory is the only one in Egypt owned and managed directly by the parent company; it currently produces the famous model of the company, Nissan Sunny sedan, and the pickup models.

Manager of Nissan’s factory, Yoshihiro Ohoto explained: “Our factory in 6th of October City has increasing importance for our extended family of manufacturing facilities. We apply the same strict production processes with focusing on the quality in all of our factories worldwide. Presenting Sentra though the local production lines is a testimony on the proficiency and dedication of the workers here in Egypt.”

Ohoto added that the local production of the new Sentra combines between Nissan’s position as the number one Japanese investor in Egypt, and the major and leading player in the cars market. It is also the company hires employees in the cars sector the most, where the company has direct labours amount to 1,300 employees, in addition to a network of distributors and suppliers includes 3,000 employees.

Sikotshi said that at the time Egypt is working on developing and strengthening the economy and attracting more investments, Nissan is proud to carry out its role in the country’s growth.

He added that the decision of manufacturing Sentra in Egypt reflects the company’s experience in the Egyptian cars industry, and its trust in the prominent Egyptian market, as well as in the proficiency of the Egyptian labourers.

The new model is more distinguished than the precious one with a neat design and external body with attractive curves, in addition to the automatic control in temperature in the front and rear areas.
