CAIRO: Masri have made a complaint to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) against referee Saied Abdel-Ghaffar, following the coastal side s 1-0 loss to ENPPI in the Egyptian Premier League.

Abdel-Ghaffar, who facilitated Friday s game, was blamed by the Port Said side for their home defeat.

Club president Ali Farag said he had called on the EFA not to assign Abdel-Ghaffar for any other Masri matches.

He (Abdel-Ghaffar) made so many mistakes in the game, and his misjudgment cost us dearly, Farag told FilGoal.com.

The referee alleged after the ill-tempered game that he had been slapped by a Masri board member in the locker room during the break.

Mohamed Abou-Taleb confronted me in the dressing room during the halftime break and slapped me, Abdel-Ghaffar told FilGoal.com right after the match.

Some security men witnessed the incident but did nothing. I will file a complaint to the EFA competitions committee.

I preferred not to halt the match in order not to cause any troubles between fans.
