CAIRO: Zamalek have recalled suspended forward Mahmoud “Shikabala Abdel Razeq to the squad which will face Ghazl Mahalla in the Egyptian league on Thursday.
The 21-year-old has been suspended by the Egyptian FA since Sept. 17, when he made inappropriate gestures to Al Ahly fans after the 1-0 league defeat.
Shikabala s inclusion will be the only alteration to the 18-man squad which visited Masri last weekend, as defender Ahmed Hossam will make way for the returning star.
The talented playmaker is currently serving a one-year ban, imposed by the Egyptian Football Association in July, from representing national teams for disciplinary reasons, following the 2007 Pan-African Games in Algeria this summer.
Meanwhile, football director Ayman Mansour played down a training bust-up which occurred on the team s training ground on Tuesday between Gamal Hamza and Karim Zekri.
Striker Hamza and defender Zekri exchanged angry words after the latter made a rough challenge on the Egypt forward in a match practice.
However, Mansour insisted that the incident was normal and that neither player will be subjected to punishment.
