If the title did not already alert you to it (a legacy is something you leave behind) fans of Matt Damon are going to be disappointed. The new agent struggling to evade his superiors is Jeremy Renner, but critics seem to agree that he is doing a pretty good job. In search of the chemicals that provide our hero with superhuman strength and smarts, he flits around the globe from action packed scene to action packed scene.
The staple parkour chase of the franchise is still there, but many reviews deplore the film as a whole, even if the parts themselves are highly entertaining. If you do not care about plot and continuity, this is a flick for you.
But if you do, you will be partially responsible for upping the box office take that will most likely inspire The Bourne Continuity, The Bourne Mediocrity and The Bourne Eternity.
Choose wisely when you stand in front of the movie theatre cash register.
