Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to review progress on a major project in New Alamein City, attended by Housing Minister Randa El-Menshawy; Deputy Housing Minister for Urban Communities Walid Abbas; Ashraf El-Araby, representing the Armed Forces Engineering Authority; Hisham Sheta, Chairperson of Incom; and Sherif Selim, Chairperson of Pinkal Design Group.
Madbouly underscored the government’s focus on maximising the added value of comprehensive development projects in New Alamein City, highlighting ongoing efforts to transform the promising area into a leading year-round investment, tourism, and urban destination.
He said the development plans aim to attract domestic and foreign capital, create thousands of jobs, and maximise the benefits of the unique assets of Egypt’s northwestern coast.
The meeting reviewed the project’s master plan and ongoing coordination between the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and relevant entities to prepare for its implementation and ensure an integrated approach among state institutions.
Consulting groups and companies responsible for executing the project presented architectural and engineering proposals and designs incorporating advanced smart systems and sustainability standards.
The designs seek to align with New Alamein’s modern urban identity. The meeting also addressed broader planning and construction requirements for major urban developments, including infrastructure, site planning, and the provision of necessary logistical services.
The project is intended to be implemented in line with international standards and high-quality requirements consistent with New Alamein City’s development vision.
