The Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) will launch a “White List” of the country’s most tax-compliant taxpayers, offering a range of incentives and priority services as part of the second package of tax facilitation measures aimed at encouraging voluntary tax compliance, ETA Head Rasha Abdel Aal announced.
Abdel Aal said the new package includes a series of executive reforms designed to provide more efficient and distinguished services for compliant taxpayers, in line with directives from Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk to strengthen voluntary compliance through additional incentives and simplified procedures.
She explained that the White List will be based on objective, risk-based criteria, with eligible taxpayers selected automatically according to predefined standards, without human intervention.
Taxpayers included on the list will receive a range of benefits, including expedited VAT refunds, certificates of appreciation and honorary awards, priority access to specialised services such as the Advance Ruling Unit and the Investor Support Unit, as well as access to a dedicated hotline.
Abdel Aal added that taxpayers selected for the White List will receive a Tax Excellence Card in one of three categories—Platinum, Gold, or Silver—to facilitate their dealings with the Authority and provide faster, more efficient services.
The names of taxpayers selected for the White List will be announced and honoured during the upcoming “Thank You 2” Conference, she said.
Abdel Aal also announced that the ETA will soon launch a mobile application for real estate transactions, enabling individuals to pay property disposal tax electronically without visiting tax offices.
Through the application, users will be able to upload the required documents, after which the system will automatically calculate the tax due on the transaction. Taxpayers will then be able to pay electronically, obtain a tax clearance certificate, and securely track the status of their applications.
The initiative forms part of the Authority’s broader digital transformation strategy to simplify tax procedures, improve taxpayer services, and encourage greater voluntary compliance through faster, more accessible digital solutions.
