MG Developments has launched VALO Hospitality, a dedicated hospitality management arm, as part of a broader expansion strategy aimed at integrating real estate development with professional hotel operations and enhancing long-term asset value.

Chairperson Mohamed Motawea said the launch forms part of a five-year plan under which the company intends to invest approximately EGP 2bn in the hospitality sector.

Motawea described the move as a strategic shift in the company’s business model, positioning hospitality management as a core pillar rather than a complementary activity. Through VALO Hospitality, the group plans to develop and operate six hotels with a combined capacity of more than 600 rooms and suites.

The company aims to standardize leasing and operational frameworks under unified professional standards to safeguard the premium positioning of its projects and enhance guest experience. In Ain Sokhna, the hotel strategy targets leisure and family tourism, business travelers, short- and medium-term stays, and the MICE segment.

This will be supported by four modern meeting and conference halls in New Cairo and Ain Sokhna to help maintain stable occupancy rates year-round.

Within its existing portfolio, the company operates La Cabana Beachfront Hotel at Blue Blue Resort, currently in its soft-opening phase. A second hotel at the resort is undergoing interior finishing and is scheduled to launch by the end of 2027, while a five-star hotel is under construction with completion targeted for 2028.

The development also includes a beachfront cabin zone featuring 120 wooden cabins, a dog-friendly beach, and a seaside restaurant complex.

At Solara Project, two additional hotels totaling 260 rooms are under construction, with openings planned for 2029. Negotiations are underway with an international hotel brand to manage one of the properties.

Motawea added that VALO Hospitality will also manage third-party hotel assets, positioning itself as an independent platform. The company’s 2030 vision focuses on expanding across the North Coast, East and West Cairo, and Ain Sokhna while strengthening its integrated development and hospitality model.
