CAIRO: Egypt technical staff have omitted Zamalek striker Amr Zaki from the FIFA Confederations Cup squad due to injury, and decided to name Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Greisha instead.
Zaki was excluded from the list after sustaining a hamstring injury, Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib told FilGoal.com.
We are now seeking to name Abou-Greisha in the squad to fill the frontline void.
The coaching staff will send Zaki s medical report to World governing body FIFA, and the latter should give them the permission to add Abou-Greisha in the squad.
According to FIFA s regulations, no changes can be made to final squads unless a player got injured.
