Islamist forces joined forces today at Rab’a Al-Adwia mosque in Nasr City expressing their support to President Mohamed Morsi. Egyptian and Islamic flags were held by demonstrators who chanted against liberal forces in Egypt.

“Egypt is Islamic despite secular forces,” was the main chant. Flyers accusing different liberal and leftist leaders of ridiculing Islam and the Prophet Muhammad was distributed among the attendees.  Several participants stressed that they were demonstrating in support of the “legitimacy” of Morsi.

The demonstration comes as a response to calls for protests on 30 June calling for the removal of President Morsi by different opposition forces.
