SN Automotive has officially inaugurated its flagship showroom at Cairo Festival City (CFC), a strategic move designed to redefine sustainable mobility in the heart of New Cairo. The high-tech facility serves as the launchpad for two premier models from global automaker Dongfeng: the 007 and 008, marking the formal debut of Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology in the Egyptian market.
The expansion signals SN Automotive’s ambition to redraw the country’s automotive map. By blending the sustainability of electric motors with the flexibility of traditional internal combustion, the company aims to position itself at the vanguard of Egypt’s “Green Transport” shift, aligning with the national Vision 2030 mandate. The REEV rollout specifically targets the two biggest hurdles for local EV adoption: charging infrastructure gaps and range anxiety.
A Pivot Toward Hybrid Resilience
Yehia Abdel Halim, CEO of SN Automotive, characterized the opening as a cornerstone of the company’s 2026 growth strategy.
“We are responding to the rapid shifts in the global automotive sector by providing practical solutions tailored to the local market’s infrastructure challenges,” Abdel Halim said. “With these new models, we are introducing a mobility concept that offers total driving freedom. REEV technology is the bridge that will accelerate the adoption of electric solutions in Egypt.”
The REEV system functions as a pragmatic hybrid: a high-efficiency electric motor drives the wheels, while a small internal combustion engine acts solely as an onboard generator to charge the battery. This configuration allows for a staggering total range of up to 1,300 km on a single charge and tank, eliminating the need for frequent charging stops during long-distance travel between governorates.

The Lineup: Luxury Meets Logic
The new fleet caters to distinct segments of the growing Egyptian middle and upper classes:
The Dongfeng 007: A sporty sedan targeting performance enthusiasts, offered by SN Automotive at a price of EGP 1,550,000. It boasts a 218 hp electric motor, a 1,200 km total range, and a futuristic cockpit powered by the Snapdragon 8155 processor and advanced safety suites.
The Dongfeng 008: A mid-size luxury SUV designed for families, available through SN Automotive for EGP 1,950,000. Featuring six seats and a 272 hp motor, its 1,300 km range makes it a viable contender for cross-country travel.

Industrial Localization and Strategic Alliances
Beyond retail, SN Automotive—a joint venture between Al Safy Group and the state-owned El Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Co.—is tethered to Egypt’s industrial resurgence. The company confirmed plans to assemble select models locally at El Nasr’s facilities, aiming to transform Egypt into a regional export hub for Dongfeng vehicles across the Middle East and Africa.
The CEO also highlighted a strategic partnership with ExxonMobil, citing a shared vision for performance and innovation. Looking ahead to 2026, the company plans to expand its footprint to 12 authorized distributors and multiple new service centers to bolster after-sales support.
By integrating energy partnerships and localized manufacturing, SN Automotive is not just selling cars; it is attempting to build the ecosystem necessary for a post-combustion era in North Africa.
