Madinaty Golf Club to host 82nd Egyptian Open

The 82nd Egyptian Open Golf Championship, in collaboration with the Asian Development Tour, will commence on Wednesday, November 29, at Madinaty Golf Club. The tournament will run until Saturday, December 1, 2025.

This year’s edition of the championship features a distinguished international field of over 130 players representing 35 countries. These include the United States, England, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Scotland, Russia, Australia, Canada, and from the Arab world, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco. Asian participants hail from Japan, Korea, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Laos, in addition to host nation Egypt.

The Egyptian Open is one of the oldest and most prestigious professional golf tournaments in the Middle East and Africa, with a history spanning 104 years since its inaugural edition in 1921. Throughout its long history, the tournament has seen participation from numerous global golf stars, including Boy Luo, Gary Player, Bernard Hunt, Colin Montgomerie, and Rory McIlroy.

The Egyptian Golf Federation, led by Omar Hisham Talaat, had previously announced the organisation of four major international tournaments during October and November 2025.

The aim is to attract sports tourism and position Egypt on the global golf map. Egypt successfully hosted the first two tournaments at Dreamland Golf Club and New Giza Golf Club, which achieved significant success in terms of international participation, exceptional organisation, and strong competition.
