Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat and Resident Coordinator of the UN Office in Egypt Elena Panova visited on Monday a number of development projects in Alexandria as part of the Egypt-UN Partnership Week.

The Partnership Week highlights the joint projects implemented in different governorates, in preparation for the final United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023 – 2027 that will be signed in March.

The Egypt-UN Partnership Week will include field visits to development projects implemented in a number of governorates to highlight the role of the UN, its agencies and affiliated programmes, in cooperation with national entities and relevant parties, to drive inclusive and sustainable development efforts. The projects to be visited are within the framework of the United Nations Partnership Development Framework (UNPDF) 2018 – 2022, which is focused on 4 key pillars: Inclusive Economic Development, Social Justice, Environmental Sustainability and Natural Resource Management, and Women’s Empowerment.

Both officials inspected solar stations in industrial complexes, projects for supporting refugees, and social and educational programmes for reintegration at juvenile detention.
