B.TECH online sales account for 20% of its total sales

Chairperson of B.TECH Mahmoud Khattab said that online sales account for a share of more than 20% of the company’s total sales.

In a press conference in which the company launched its latest platform, Deal, Khattab announced that the company is working to increase the number of its small branches, B-Tech X, to 44 by the end of this year, compared to the current 30 branches.

For his part, Mohamed Khattab — Director of Business Solutions Development at B.TECH — said that the transformation that occurred in the behaviour of users due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pushed the growth of the use of digital tools, which prompted the company to launch the Deal platform to support and develop trade and foster digital transformation.

The platform aims to support small traders and sellers to organise the retail market in the field of electronics and home appliances. Through the application, merchants can buy and sell and have products delivered to them within 48 hours while having access to flexible payment plans. The platform will be officially launched in early September.

He explained that the growth of e-commerce — which now exceeds 50% annually due to the coronavirus — prompted the company to work on employing digital tools to support merchants and sellers and develop their activity.

The application provides more than 100,000 products at wholesale price, and the merchant can make and deliver sales through the application, which saves merchants investing in storage capacities.

The application allows merchants to pay in cash or in instalments up to 90 days.

The application also provides analyses to merchants on the market situation, which helps them improve their sales and growth.
